RETURN OF THE STRIKEOUT KING 👑

Spencer Strider took the mound for the first time in 376 days, and let us just say… he didn’t waste time reintroducing himself. After a long road back from elbow surgery, the mustachioed menace recorded his 500th career strikeout, becoming the fastest primary starter in MLB history to do it.

He tossed 5.1 innings, allowed just two runs, and struck out six batters, reminding Braves Country exactly why he's one of the most electric pitchers in baseball.

Braves Weekly Recap

Tough Week on the Scoreboard The Braves were swept by the Blue Jays, capped by a 3–1 loss where the offense struck out a franchise-record 19 times. Not the stat you want to see—but also not the end of the story.

Offensive Struggles

  • Just 7 total runs across the 3-game series

  • Only 1 hit in Tuesday’s loss

  • RISP continues to be a concern

From 2019 to 2022, the Braves overcame early stumbles to become postseason contenders. The April schedule wraps up with a stretch of winnable series against the Twins, Cardinals, Diamondbacks, and Rockies.

The lineup has too much talent to stay this quiet. Expect fireworks soon.

Series to Watch

Let’s circle a few series where Atlanta can get back on track and build some serious momentum:

  • Cardinals in April: Reeling from their own slow start, this is a chance to take advantage.

  • Diamondbacks in early May: 2023’s NL Champs haven’t looked quite as sharp—revenge series incoming.

  • Dodgers in May: Shohei. Freddie. Hollywood. Time to show the West Coast who runs the East.

Around the NL East

  • Braves – Despite injuries (Acuña Jr., Strider), they're still the team to beat. Projected for 92 wins and another NL East crown.

  • Phillies – Aiming for a 4th straight postseason run. Luzardo boosts the rotation. Solid, but projected to trail Atlanta.

  • Mets – Soto’s a star (on base in 11 straight), but pitching injuries could hold them back.

  • Nationals – Rebuilding mode. Watch for James Wood’s breakout.

  • Marlins – Full-on rebuild. Projected to finish near the bottom of the league.

Fan Pulse: Is it Time to Panic?

Absolutely not. You’ve seen this script before. This team thrives on proving people wrong. Vegas still thinks Braves will make the playoffs, offering a “yes” line at -150 odds.
