Farewell Bravos đź‘‹

Reflecting on a resilient Braves season

As the 2024 season wraps up, it's hard not to reflect on what an unforgettable ride it has been for the Atlanta Braves. Despite being hit hard by injuries to key players, the team continued to deliver standout performances, including Fried’s dominance on the mound and Chris Sale's remarkable comeback. From thrilling doubleheader wins to the dramatic Game 162 clinch, this resilient Braves team kept us on the edge of our seats. Although we’ll miss seeing them in the playoffs this year, their fighting spirit made this season one to remember.

Dugout Seat has some exciting surprises still in store for Braves fans as we gear up for an even stronger 2025 season. Stick with us and read to the end to discover what’s coming next.

2024 Season Highlights

As some would say— it just wasn’t our year, but let’s reflect on some of the ways this team proved their strength this season.

Defensive Gems: The Braves' defense made several spectacular plays throughout the season. Key players like Albies, Arcia, and Michael Harris, made acrobatic catches and turned double plays.

Battered up Braves: We had our big players take big hits this season Acuña suffered a torn ACL in his left knee Strider underwent Tommy John surgery, Max Fried dealt with a hip injury, and Austin Riley fractured his right hand, resulting in 35+ missed games— more than any MLB team to date. All things given we played hard.

Chris Sale 🔥: Chris Sale capped off his remarkable 2024 season by winning the pitching Triple Crown, leading the National League in wins, strikeouts, and ERA.

Triple Threat: Matt Olson Played 162 consecutive games for the third season in a row.

Stadium Attendance: Truist Park ranks 5th in the most attended MLB stadium (shoutout Bravos fans)!

What’s in Store for Next Season

With Fried’s contract still in question, and injuries still in play, Manager Snitker leaves us with some words of encouragement saying, “I wish spring training started tomorrow, quite honestly. I just told the guys that. I can’t wait to get to camp and hopefully have our guys whole again. I’m going to be excited to get there probably more than I ever have been.”
