Are The Braves Battling it Out or Hanging In?
Alright, in case you missed this wild ride between the Giants and the Rockies here’s a quick rundown of the Braves’ week, folks.
The last two series were a rollercoaster, starting with a slugfest in the Mile High City. The Braves and Rockies traded some tough blows, with Matt Olson delivering several extra-base hits. The Rockies did not let us go easily, as it was a nail-biting back-and-forth affair. Marcell Ozuna really showed out on Tuesday night, but the Rockies secured that win.
While we started off tough in the Bay Area, we finished strong. The offense cooled off a bit, but the pitching staff stepped up. Max Fried was lights out on Friday night, shutting down the Giants' lineup. The bullpen also came in clutch in a couple of tight games, proving why they’re one of the best in the business.
Last night we got back in the win column, crushing the Giants 13-2. Mike Harris II came back from the IL and hit a Grand Slam into McCovey Cove, leading the offensive charge in a 13-2 victory.
Still holding on to the third wild card spot— can we keep this momentum?
